Pack 275 is a very active pack, and we do a lot of fun activites throughout the year!

We meet as a full pack at least once a month for a variety of events such as:

• Family Campouts: We organize fall and spring campouts, which families can attend for the day or for weekend overnights. We also have annual winter camp-in at museums around the area.

• Pinewood Derby: Scouts build, decorate, and race wooden cards during this classic event.

• Scouting for Food: Scouts collect food donations from the community for a local food pantry.

• Blue and Gold Dinner: We celebrate scouting and our pack's accomplishments with a dinner and cake decorating contest.

• Rocket Launch: Scouts launch model rockets, then recover them after "re-entry."

• Teambuliding Games: We play a variety of games to build scout spirit and have fun together.

• Hiking: We often take day hikes as either dens or a pack within the DC metro area.

• Community Trips and Speakers: We take trips to visit firestations, animal shelters, museums, and historical sites. We also have speakers from the community, such as beekeepers, police officers, recycling managers. 

Our pack is organized into grade-level and multi-level dens, including: 

• Lions (Kindergarten)

• Tigers (1st grade)

• Wolves (2nd grade)

• Bears (3rd grade)

• Webelos (4th grade)

• Arrow of Light (5th grade)

Dens generally meet twice a month for den meetings and outings around the community. 

Pack 275 is chartered by Scouting America in the National Capital Area Council, White Oak District. Our chartering organization is the YMCA Silver Spring.
